Guided Tour Season and Schedule

Plan your visit to Divje Babe Archaeological Park at a time that suits you best. Guided tours take place between 1 April and 31 October. Visitors can join scheduled public guided tours or arrange a private guided tour by prior booking at least three working days in advance.

Access to Divje Babe I Cave is possible only as part of a guided tour, as the cave remains locked outside visiting hours. This ensures the protection of the archaeological site and provides a safe and high-quality visitor experience.

Although entry to the cave is only possible with a guide, the archaeological park can be explored independently throughout the year. Marked walking trails allow visitors to explore the surrounding landscape and enjoy the natural and cultural heritage of the Šebrelje Plateau.

The guided tour this Saturday, 16th May, is cancelled due to the unstable weather forecast.

Advance registration is not required for scheduled public guided tours. The meeting point is in front of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Šebrelje.

Payment for guided tours is possible only in cash or by official purchase order. Card payments are not available.

Booking and Payment Information

Entry to Divje Babe Cave is possible only as part of a guided tour.

While the archaeological park can be visited independently, access to the digitally enhanced cave is only possible with a guide, as the cave remains locked outside guided tours.

Bookings are required for private guided tours outside the scheduled public tour dates and must be arranged at least three working days in advance.

Advance registration is not required for scheduled public guided tours.

Payment for guided tours is possible only in cash on the day of the visit directly to the guide. Card payment is not available. School groups and other organised groups may also pay by official purchase order, provided to the guide on the day of the visit or submitted in advance by arrangement.
